NOT recommended Aug 11, 2009
By oOoBuBbLeSoOo I was excited to get a dual charger since we were going through regular batteries like crazy and I thought this was a great deal (as far as the price went).
The charger hooks up to a USB (either via wii or computer).
Wii remote has to be charged for 12 hours in order to take advantage of the full capacity. But this has to be done for first use only.
The light indicator lets u know if it's fully charged. Blue for fully charged. Red for charging.
I found this item rather inconvenient because the Wii system has to be on for the charger to work. It doesn't work if the wii is off.
If I had known this I would have purchased something else. It doesn't make any sense that the wii has to be on for it to charge. Who leaves their wii on all the time if they're not playing it?
I have read of other USB charging stations that charge without having the system on.

Great - but plugs into computer not electrical socket Dec 23, 2008

This is a great way to recharge your Wii remotes but be aware that the charger plugs into a computer port and not an electrical socket.

Nice concept, however I am going back to regular batteries Feb 15, 2010
By Chuckie D. I bought this item when it was on sale for $7.00 That's about all it is worth. The rechargeable batteries take about 10 hours for a full charge, yet they only last a few hours of use. If the battery pack dies while you are playing, it's game over until they recharge.
I am going back to using Eneloop rechargeable AA cells. They last for much longer usage. I can have extras charged & ready when needed.
Skip this product. Buy some Eneloops or Rayovac 4.0 cells & a good charger like the LaCrosse. You will be much happier.

Wii Charger May 28, 2010
By Scott M. Little This charger plugs into the Wii, and works from a USB connection for power. It makes it real convenient. The only downfall with it is that you have to take the remotes out of the protective sleeve to charge it. It works very well, and the LED confirmation for if it is charged or not is great.

Disappointing! Feb 16, 2010
By Sam G 1) The remotes will not fit into the charger with the "stock" sleeve on. The thin silicon sleeve we have for the 2nd remote had to be modified, but at least we don't have to remove it. 2) Only works with a USB port - like others, we don't leave the Wii on unless we are using it. Our computer is upstairs, so that's not a convenient alternative. 3) (And this is the worst offense) - I emailed the mfg (tech support) about the unit (twice), and have yet to get a response (it's been 2 weeks).
I wouldn't recommend this product - there have to be better and more user friendly alternatives out there.
