5New Batteries, Old Packaging  Jan 15, 2012 By Eli
The packaging on these batteries can be confusing. I ordered some and they came printed with the year 2006 on them. I considered that too old for batteries and left negative feedback for the seller. The seller contacted me stating that the batteries were new and provided a number to call Energizer to confirm the manufacture date. I called and the Energizer customer service rep gave me the manufacture month and year. For mine it was March 2011. The problem with the date labeling is this. The 2006 date on the package is the copyright date of the packaging. On most common batteries that you might buy in a local store such as AAA, AA, C,D, or 9V the packaging is updated often enough that the packaging copyright date is usually close to the manufacturing date. In the instance of coin cell batteries energizer doesn't updated the blister package nearly so often, hence the confusion when a package has an older date. So the batteries are just fine and are indeed new.

5Nice pack of 5 batteries  Oct 24, 2009 By Night Hunter "Night Hunter"
I got the set of batteries in 3 days. They came in the package that you see. The batteries were easy to take out. I used them with two watches that needed battery replacements....The watches are now running on time. I'm very happy with the set of batteries. Now I have replacements on hand.

5Save big $$ over having VW replace your Key Fob batteries  Jan 13, 2010 By DefinitelyNotEmeril "BobinMass"
The remote door opener for my VW Jetta TDI died. VW wanted a lot of $$$ (80) to replace the two batteries and "reprogram" the remote! A little over $5 with free shipping and I have five new batteries. The remote takes two btw.

4Fail battery test but appear to be 3v on multimeter  May 18, 2012 By Richard
I tested each of these cells on a fancy battery tester and it indicated 20% but I then tested them on a multimeter and they appeared to be 3v. So they do appear to be new and they worked in my key fob. The package does indicated a year of 2011 but I believe that lithium batteries have a shelf life of several years. Not sure how else to test the batteries and my key fob eats batteries every 6 months so we'll see how long they last.
