AWESOME Nov 03, 2011
By jow It was a good surprise to me when I saw that it came with a multi-voltage power adapter. I used it just as soon as I could get it out of the package. The recharge time is great, I like the LCD display. EXCELLENT addtion to the fact that I was tired of buying regular batteries.

Linked Slots makes for a bad charger. Feb 10, 2012
By Alshain I bought one of these before I really knew better. If you are going to use rechargeable batteries, get yourself a good quality charger with independent slots. Chargers like this one have all of their slots linked (though the 9 volts are separate from the AA/AAA in this model). When one battery gets full, the entire charger stops charging leaving the other 3 incomplete.
Furthermore, this charger only gives you the ability to top off the charge. A good charger will allow you to perform a top off charge and at the very least a Forming Charge/Break In. I suggest a Higher end La Crosse or Powerex charger instead of anything made by Energizer. You can still use Energizer brand batteries.
Good Charger, However... Feb 04, 2012
By Eric C. The charger does exactly what you'd expect, charges all the common battery types. The charge speed is relatively quick, and it can charge 4-8 batteries at a time depending on size... One (maybe obvious) thing to note, the more batteries you place on charge, the longer the charge will take... But it still gets the job done in a reasonable amount of time.
However, one thing I do not like about this charger and had no way of knowing until I received it and read the manual.... I have 8 pcs of Tenergy C Size 5000mAh High Capacity High Rate NiMH Rechargeable Batteries, which perform great, but the Energizer Family Charger can only charge C batteries up to 2500mAh. I feel that if this charger could handle the 5000mAh rating, it would also perform better on all other charges as well since (total mAh output div/by number of batts on charge) = charge speed.
This shouldn't be an issue for most, since most C batteries will likely fall into that range...Just something to be aware of... Other than that, I've had no issues with this charger.
