1Didn't receive GP batteries  Apr 27, 2012 By Rick
These were a great price for a reason. The seller, Brooklyn Battery Works, didn't actually send GP batteries. Instead they sent a very generic, no name battery that says nothing more than "made in China" on them. If you want to see the batteries they sent, look for something the same vendor is selling as Powertron 23A batteries. They don't say Powertron on them. Again, there is no brand whatsoever, but this gives you an idea of what they shipped. If you want true GP batteries (as I did), order them from a different vendor. AS ALWAYS, AMAZON WAS WONDERFUL about processing my return, they have truly outstanding customer service!

4GP A23 batteries  Nov 18, 2011 By Jan Ilacqua "Jan :)"
I received the order within the estimated delivery period, and in good order. Thus, far the batteries are working as intended. The only issue is that they don't last very long, especially, as they are not in use that much. I use them in a remote ON/OFF for a battery operated closet light, thus, they don't get a lot of use. Otherwise, they are OK. A23 batteries do not seem to be that popular or as available as other types of batteries. Perhaps their short life is why. I don't feel that is a reflection on the company that sells them as I have tried different brands from different companies and they are all very short lived.

4Not labeled GP, but they seem okay and seller says they're the same inside.  May 16, 2012 By Ranger "J"
As another reviewer noted, these are not branded GP. They are not branded anything. You can see the photo I uploaded to see what the actual package and battery look like.

However, at less than 50 cents apiece, I'll try them out instead of returning them. My last batch of GP batteries didn't last so long anyway. These work just fine initially and one thing I do like is the + and - signs are larger and much more clearly visible for those of us who usually require reading glasses. So far, I've installed two of them without a problem. If they fail anytime soon, I'll report back. If they do the job, I probably won't remember to. :-)

Addendum: After leaving negative seller feedback for Brooklyn Battery Works, they contacted me and explained they have no control over the image presented and wrote: "These 23A 12 Volt Alkaline Batteries are produced under a variety of different product packaging and brand names to target different consumer markets and wholesale markets. However, the cells themselves underneath the covers are identical to the ones you purchased."

Based on their communication and the fact I actually prefer look of the battery received, I am updating this review and adding an additional star. I chose that seller because they offered Amazon Prime and I received the product in two days for less than ten bucks total for 20 batteries.

5Gooder than the rest  Feb 03, 2012 By Lauren Hemedinger

5GP high Voltage Alkaline Batteries  Jan 11, 2012 By Shello
I purchased these to replace the dead batteries in the sensors of my home alarm system. Great product at an excellent price. The 20 pack would definitely come in handy, since these seem to need replacing every 9months.
