It works! Jun 07, 2009
By J. Hess I bought this with some trepidation. I have a 60lbs hang glider that I need to secure to the roof of my car to tow up the side of a mountain. The thought of losing thousands of dollars due to one bad bounce had me scared but these things work and save a lot of time previously spent tying and untying knots.

JUNK. Comes loose anytime the line goes slack in puffy wind. Apr 14, 2007
By Barthbill We used these to secure and adjust a light tarp for shade on a windy day. Pretty nifty until the wind started puffing. Whenever the wind made the tarp flop, the line went slack (of course), and the loop came off the device. Whoever thought this idea up never used it in windy conditions.
I am going to go back to using Taut-Ties or the old-fashioned metal or wood strip with three holes. This is overpriced junk.
They are rated with a limit of 50 lbs. This is way less than the strength of the 3/16 braided line that we used.
Best Idea Since The Paper Clip Dec 27, 2008
By R. Folkerts When used the way it is intended this is great. A flopping tarp in the wind may not be the best test. I use them to tie down items in my truck that don't flop like bikes, lumber, coolers and just about everything else that goes in my truck. They are fast, easy to tighten and something I will buy more of.
