This flash works great with my Canon 1sx IS. Even though the camera is not a full SLR the flash works in full automatic mode off the hot shoe. It also has manual controls (pick from 6 preset distances) for use in manual mode. It has a diffuser and bounce backboard that slide in the casing. The stofen diffuser is a nice extra. The flash is half the price of the comparable canon.
The batteries and charger do the job but the charger takes too long. I like the energizer charger I find at CVS that fully charges the batteries in 3-4 hours as opposed to 10+ with this kits charger.

Unit works wonderfully but have been unable to fine a bounce cap for it that fits correctly. Seller tried to send me a second one that would fit better but still does not fit correctly.

this kit looks great and it surely is if you buy it with other flash but in my case vivitar 383, after 2 months and a couple of shoots it stoped working, the trigger circuit burned. I tried contacting vivitar but there is no response. Now I have a pice of equipment that does everything exept lighting my scene. All the functions are still operational but that means nothing if it just dont throw out light. I highly recomend you to save a little extra and get a real canon flash as the 430ex.
The other items on the kit are nice and will surely be usefull with other equipment

Excelente rendimiento a nivel de costo/beneficio el kit comprado es ideal porque incluye las baterias y el cargador, la calidad del flash es muy buena, el tiempo de refresco es un poco lento para tomas rápidas pero por el precio pagado no me puedo quejar, excelente compra para mi
