 Great money and time saver compared to alkaline batteries Oct 12, 2011

I bought this when I needed to digitize audio tapes, and the tape recorder eats batteries.
Works like a charm, and the interesting note, for that application, was that the drain characteristics of the batteries let me know when they needed changed. With alkalines, I would end up a with poor quality digitization and have to check each recording.
I also like the Sanyo approach that allows two sizes of rechargeable batteries to fit 98% of my battery needs.
The C/D spacers also make the devices they go into lighter - another bonus.

I was unsure if these would be a suitable replacement for standard batteries but so far the haven't let me down. I will make my money back in cost of batteries in the first six months to a year. This starter pack is nice but I would recommend purchasing more so you have some charged and ready to go, you don't realize how many batteries you might need till you start replacing them. A must buy and I will be buying more.

To be honest, I expected 4 aaa batteries. I was upset when I only say two. Then I went back and re-read the product. Definately only 2. That was my fault. If you dont need the charger then you can get a better deal. However, If you need it then buy away. Excellent product! Ive been switching over to all Eneloops over the past 6 months after buying my first set well over a year ago. They still work like new. The only reason the starter kit received a 4 is because of the price

These batteries are an excellent buy when you look at the fact that this little kit includes the spacers to make these batteries work in almost anything you have in your house. The only downside is especially with the AAA batteries I find that they just don't have the power to run some of my devices that require a little more power. I tried them in an airsoft gun and nothing, took them out and put them in a remote and they work fine. Before buying these I would make sure that the power rating on the batteries matches your needs.

Does exactly as describes. Initially purchased for my sons leappad, works wonderfully. Will be purchasing additional batteries for all of our power sucking devices and gaming remotes.
